John Papazian

John was the President and Principal Broker of Haiku Properties. He founded Haiku Properties in the late seventies when he moved to Maui after graduating with honors from Stanford University. Rather than return for law school, he chose to make Maui his home and real estate investment and development his work. He met his German wife here while she was vacationing, and managed to convince her (after a few years back and forth) to stay on Maui and raise a family.

 

Diana Papazian

Diana was born and raised on Maui and attended New York University. She then moved to and studied abroad in Europe. Upon her return to the states, Diana joined the family business. She split her time between Vancouver, BC; Maui; and Los Angeles managing investment projects off island and engaging in Haiku Properties’ brokerage and development enterprises on Maui. Following in her father’s footsteps, Diana earned her broker’s license and now serves as principal broker of Haiku Properties.

 

Alex Papazian

Alex was born in Germany and raised on Maui. He graduated from Pomona college in Claremont, California. After working in the hedge fund industry he moved to London for graduate school at the London School of Economics, where he studied philosophy and economics. Another corporate job in finance convinced him to move back to Maui in 2017 to join the family business.

 

Michael Hunt

Michael, a local to Northern California, graduated from Humboldt State University. His love for the outdoors and laid back lifestyle brought him to Maui in 2012. After building and remodeling homes for 5 years he joined Haiku Properties in 2017. His eye for detail and knowledge of construction has been an asset to his career in real estate. Michael now splits his time between Maui and California where he is also a licensed agent.

 

Jason McFarlin, Esq.

Jason is a practicing attorney in the State of Hawaii and was pleased to join the Haiku Properties Ohana in 2021 to complement his law practices. After graduating 1st in his class at the University of Hawaii, West Oahu, he attended Mitchell Hamline School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, on a full scholarship and graduated with honors. Throughout his career, he has frequently observed that real estate transactions involve a variety of legal issues that should be considered. Jason is committed to performing his work in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner, and dedicated to resolving legal issues in a way that protects his clients’ assets, minimizes their costs, and maximizes their profits.
